Developing impactful, creative and inspiring local leaders

Who we are

The Southern Management Leadership Program is a unique educational model designed specifically for local Maryland students. The program provides scholarships to college students from Montgomery College, Prince George’s Community College and the University of Maryland, who have an enthusiasm for seeking leadership roles in the career fields they are most passionate about, and will use their knowledge and skills to make the state of Maryland, and the world, a better place for all.

Our Mission

Our program's mission is to develop strong leaders, who will use their educations and experiences to make positive and lasting impacts in their hometowns.

Our Impact

Our program helps minority, first-generation and low-income students reach their educational goals and become leaders in their communities.

SMLP has connected me to countless opportunities, giving me access to new connections and opening the doors to growing my professional network."

-- Talita Fernandes de Oliveira, SMLP Student
